Oasis’ time in the spotlight seems to be very much over thanks to the ongoing feud between Gallagher brothers Noel and Liam.
Despite fans constantly calling for a reunion of the 1990s Britpop group, the two brothers continue to make their feelings toward each other clear. However, one band member has provided a glimmer of hope to those desperate for an Oasis comeback.
Former bass player Andy Bell was asked if he thinks the warring brothers would ever reconcile to bring the band back, he surprisingly replied: “Yeah, they probably will. I think yeah, they probably will do it.”
Speaking to Andy Goldstein on Virgin Radio UK, he continued: “I don’t think it looks likely right now, but life is long, isn’t it?
“As a Stone Roses fan, that reunion happened completely against the way things were looking.
“They were not getting on at all and there was a lot of bad blood in the press and stuff with the Roses, and then suddenly you were hearing about gigs. I think we could see something like that for Oasis.”

Talking about joining Oasis in 1999, Bell reflected: “I got into [Oasis] very early on, and I saw some really early gigs of theirs.
“I saw them upwards of 10 times all around the country, so yeah, I’m a huge fan.”
The musician went on: “It was a couple of years after Ride split, and I was in a new band called Hurricane.
“We had broken up, and there had been a story in the papers saying that my band had broken up, and I guess [Oasis] realised I was knocking around.”

The 51-year-old singer posted a series of comments on social media blasting his brother while fans shared their hopes for the classic band to reunite at a celebration as the band were placed in the running for an award.
“F*** the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, it’s full of BUMBA******,” he fumed on X.
He went on to suggest he wouldn’t bother turning up at the ceremony, due to take place later this year if the band was inducted.

He quickly predicted his older brother would attend though, writing: “The little fella loves hanging out with celebrities so he’d prob go; as for me I’m washing my hair and having a pedicure and a manicure.”
In a more recent update, the younger Gallagher brother admitted to being on a “downward slide” after experiencing some health issues.
After sharing some concerns, he told fans: “I’m definitely on the downwards slide, though. But we’re all going to die, aren’t we?”
