Last updated: October 2026. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of globemediatimes.com (the “Site”), published by 24World Media as Globe Media Times (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Website Disclaimer, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version on this page; the revised Terms govern from publication, and continued use after publication constitutes acceptance.
1. The service
The Site provides free-to-read digital news articles, section pages, and embedded video posts across the desks listed on the Site, together with company pages including About Us, Services, Contact, Advertise, Corrections, Privacy Policy, Website Disclaimer and Code of Ethics. Features may change, be suspended, or be withdrawn without notice. We do not guarantee that the Site, or any article, will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, and we may maintain, repair or upgrade the Site at any time.
2. Ownership and permitted use
All articles, headlines, text, page design, logos, trademarks, and Site compilation, and all photographs and other media as identified in their captions, are owned by us, our licensors, or the credited rights holder, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other applicable laws. The Globe Media Times name and masthead are our marks; you may not use them in a way that implies endorsement, affiliation or authorship by us where none exists.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and read the Site for your personal, non-commercial use, and to share links to our pages. You may quote brief excerpts for purposes permitted by law — such as criticism, review or news reporting — with attribution to Globe Media Times and, where practical, a link to the article, provided the quotation does not substitute for reading the article and does not exceed what the applicable exception fairly permits. Any other use requires our prior written permission.
3. Prohibited uses
You agree not to: (a) republish, mirror, scrape at scale, systematically download, or redistribute our articles, headlines, images or pages, in whole or in substantial part, whether commercially or not, without prior written permission; (b) use the Site, its content, or data obtained from it to train, fine-tune, evaluate or populate a machine-learning or artificial-intelligence system, database, news aggregator or competing service, except for ordinary search-engine indexing that respects our robots directives and links back to the Site; (c) remove, alter or obscure any copyright, licence, attribution or correction notice; (d) misrepresent our reporting, including by presenting a quotation, headline, image or video out of context so as to change its meaning, or by implying we endorse a product, candidate, claim or course of action; (e) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site’s administration, database, contact submissions or any account, or to probe, scan or test the Site’s security except as permitted by law with our written authorisation; (f) submit through the Site any material that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or that contains malicious code, personal data of another person without authority, or credentials of any kind; or (g) use the Site in violation of applicable law. We may suspend or block access that breaches this section, without prejudice to any other remedy.
4. Republication and licensing requests
Full-text republication, syndication, translation, anthology use, broadcast use, and commercial licensing of our content require a written licence obtained before use. Requests should be sent through the Contact page under “Advertising and partnerships”, identifying the material, the proposed use, the territory, and the duration. A request that receives no reply is not a licence. Search engines, social platforms and readers may display the headline, a brief excerpt and the featured image as generated by ordinary link-sharing, solely to link to the article on the Site; that tolerated display is not a licence to host the article elsewhere.
5. User submissions
If you submit a news tip, correction request or other message through the Contact form, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the factual information in it for our reporting, including to investigate, publish, correct and archive the record. You represent that you have the right to submit the material and that it does not violate any law or third-party right. Submissions do not create an employment, agency, partnership or confidential relationship, except that where you expressly request confidentiality as a source we will handle the request in accordance with our Code of Ethics and applicable law. We are not obliged to publish, credit except as source-protection and fairness require, or return any submission.
6. Third-party content, links and embeds
Articles may contain links to third-party sites and embeds served by third-party platforms, including official-channel videos. Third-party content is the responsibility of its provider and is governed by that provider’s terms. Inclusion does not constitute endorsement. Photographs credited with a Commons file name and licence are used under the licence stated with the image; you must comply with that licence for any reuse of the image, in addition to these Terms for reuse of the article as a whole.
7. No warranties; news limitations
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Without limiting the Website Disclaimer, we do not warrant that any report is complete or that forecasts, estimates, targets or third-party claims reported in an article will prove correct. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded are unaffected.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither the publisher nor its staff will be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to use of or inability to use the Site or reliance on its content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If, notwithstanding the foregoing, liability is established, it is limited to the fullest extent the applicable law permits.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the publisher and its staff from claims, damages and reasonable expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your submissions, or your misuse of the Site or its content, except to the extent the claim arises from our own breach or unlawful act.
10. Copyright notices
If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice through the Contact page under “Privacy, legal or copyright” identifying the work, the location of the allegedly infringing material on the Site, your contact details, and the basis of your claim, with a statement made in good faith. We will review and, where infringement is established or the claim is otherwise well-founded, remove or disable the material and note the change where appropriate. Knowingly false notices may carry legal consequences.
11. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising from the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where a mandatory law of your jurisdiction applies and cannot be derogated from by agreement. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Illinois will have jurisdiction, subject to any such mandatory right to proceed elsewhere. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
12. Entire agreement; notices; assignment
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Website Disclaimer and any written licence we have issued to you, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding use of the Site and supersede any prior oral or written understanding about the Site. Headings are for convenience only. Notices to us under these Terms — including copyright notices, licensing requests and legal enquiries — are effective when sent through the Contact page under the appropriate topic, or when delivered by post to the address in Section 13, except that a form submission is not effective for a matter the form expressly excludes. We may assign or transfer the Site, these Terms and our rights in our content to a successor publisher of Globe Media Times or of the 24World Media network without your consent, provided the successor honours these Terms or publishes successor terms in accordance with the amendment provision above. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right to enforce them except where the law provides otherwise.
13. Accessibility and language
We aim to publish the Site in clear English and in formats usable with current browsers and assistive technologies, although we do not warrant compatibility with every device or configuration. If a page or media element is inaccessible to you, tell us through the Contact form under “Technical problem”, describing the barrier, and we will address it or provide the substance of the article by a reasonable alternative means. The English text of our articles and legal pages governs; any translation provided by a third-party tool is for convenience and does not amend the original.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms should be sent through the Contact form on our Contact page, or by post to Globe Media Times, 24World Media, 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States.
